Digging for fluffy treasure!

well, its been a while since i actually posted something of marginal interest. while forums are cool and all, they are nothing like the ramblings of a chemist...uh... yeah.
anyway, finally, after like, forever, my research is beginning to move, and quickly at that, yesterday morning i set up four jobs, each will take rought 36 hours to compute, and then i have to submit 4 more jobs. but thats not bad, i might actually get some results this time.
in case you didnt know, my research involves putting an ethene over a silver cluster and seeing if the vibrational frequency of the ethene changes. This is actually related to something. SERS, surface enhanced raman spectroscopy, its actually quite interesting, and i think i finally know what im going to do with my graduate career, a theoretical/experimental chemist focusing on vibrational/physical/quantum area of chemistry. Now i just have to get a quantum physics degree :)
i still dont know what direction im going to take this site too, right now its basically email, i might steer it towards a chemistry oriented page..though that requires a lot of work...something i dont exactly have time for. but that would be really cool.
the site does need a redesign, thats for sure. but fear not, Big Brown and company will always have a place to post. thats something that will never change, along with the logo, i love it too much.
One thing is for sure, im glad i have the domain, and i wont give it up for anything. My twisted humor and character are part of what makes this site. Oh well, for the 1000 of you that hit this site. there is a post. a lengthy one for sure..by my standards :)
